This policy explains what NexGenData (thenextgennexus.com) collects, why, and who else is involved. It describes what we actually do — not a generic template.
What we collect
- Website analytics. Standard, aggregate usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) to understand traffic and improve the site. We don’t build advertising profiles.
- Email address — only when you give it to us: subscribing to the newsletter, requesting a free sample dataset, or joining a product waitlist.
- Purchase & license data. When you buy, we receive order details and your license key from our payment processor (see below). We use these to deliver your data and provide support.
- Support correspondence. Emails you send us, kept to answer and improve support.
What we do NOT collect
- We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details — those go directly to our payment processor.
- We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
- Our data products contain public app-store and regulatory information, not private profiles of you.
Who processes your data (sub-processors)
- Polar — our merchant of record. Polar (and its payment processor, Stripe) handles checkout, card data, billing, tax, and refunds. Card details never touch NexGenData systems.
- Email delivery — MailPoet sends our newsletter and list emails; order, license, and other transactional emails are sent by Polar (listed above).
- Hosting & analytics — our website host and standard site analytics.
Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for the site to work and basic analytics cookies. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; essential ones are required for checkout and login.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any message, and you can ask us to access or delete your personal data by emailing hello@thenextgennexus.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Retention & jurisdiction
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. NexGenData operates from British Columbia, Canada; this policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Payment data retention is governed by Polar’s and Stripe’s own policies.
